Job Title: Impact Evaluator

a qualified and experienced individual to engage in conducting an evaluation and audit of Kanlungan’s activities with the purpose of gathering information about the impacts produced by each intervention. Kanlungan has run multiple interventions in 2020 ranging from mental health and psychosocial support, well-being and art workshops, welfare and immigration advice, food provision and delivery and helping source housing and social services for those affected by COVID-19. 

The impact evaluator will: 

  • Set an agenda of what needs to be evaluated and develop the evaluation brief in conjunction with Kanlungan.  
  • Decide and manage the process for developing the evaluation methodology and implementation. 
  • Gather good quality quantitative and qualitative data that uses a participatory approach from stakeholders and service-users and are also measurable through the external evaluator’s set of indicators. 
  • Assess the positive, negative, primary and secondary long-term effects produced by a development intervention, directly or indirectly, intended or unintended. 
  • Defining success to make evaluative judgements.
  • Use a theory of change model.
  • Write up and disseminate the report and support its use. 

The role should take 2-3 months including the write up of the report.
